Edge profile
Granite worktops are normally made from 30 mm thick material. 40 mm thick granite tops can be formed by laminating two 20 mm thick slabs, either with a flush or a V-groove joint along the exposed edges. Edge profiles on Marble when used for vanity tops are normally 20 mm in thickness.
At Sang marble we offer a standard choice of edge profiles but can cater for clients who require a specific edge profile.
Things to consider upon selecting worktop:
- Aesthetic is primary, what will look best, to your liking and compliment your kitchen? A poorly chosen worktop can brake the otherwise well-considered design of your kitchen. We will, naturally, assist you in this selection.
- Did you know that folds in the edge profile could result in food and dust trappings? More folds means more cleaning.
- Look at as many different samples as you can. Increase your choice selection. Now test under different lighting, what does the worktop look like now? Also consider the worktop in relation to everything else in your kitchen.
